A look back at my favorite 2024 shoots
As 2024 comes to a close, I’m taking a moment to reflect on some of my favorite shoots from this year. Photography is so much more than capturing beautiful images — it’s about the people, the stories, and the emotions behind each moment. This year, I was lucky enough to work with incredible couples, families, and friends, and each shoot reminded me of why I love what I do.
What I’m looking forward to in 2025
It’s hard to believe, isn’t it? Another year has passed, and with it, new dreams start blooming. When I think about what’s to come in 2025, my heart flutters with excitement for the adventures ahead. Weddings to photograph, new projects to pursue, personal growth to tackle — every corner of my life feels like it has room for something beautiful to unfold.
My favorite holiday traditions and winter activities
There’s something magical about the holiday season. Whether it’s the glow of twinkling lights, the cozy mornings spent with loved ones, or the rare chance to slow down and rest, winter always feels like a time to savor. This year, as I enjoy our own holiday traditions and reflect on what makes this season special, I wanted to share some of my favorite traditions and activities — both old and new.
Grateful for the moments, the creativity, and you
As Thanksgiving approaches, I’ve been reflecting on the things I’m most grateful for, and my heart keeps coming back to photography and the amazing clients who trust me to capture their stories.
How moving to Durham has inspired my creative journey
When my husband and I moved to Durham in 2017, it wasn’t part of some grand creative plan. In fact, at that point, I didn’t even have an official photography business. We had just wrapped up a year in Philadelphia — an experience we both found less than inspiring — and decided to return to North Carolina, where my husband’s family was based. Little did I know that this move would mark the beginning of a transformative chapter in my creative journey.
A cozy day with Bri and Rosie: My favorite fall rituals
As the leaves turn and the air grows crisp, I’ve been settling into autumn in our new home. Fall has always been about creating moments of warmth and comfort, and this year feels extra special. Having moved into our first house this summer, I’m finally starting to think about how I want to make it feel like “home,” especially for the cozy months ahead.
