How moving to Durham has inspired my creative journey
When my husband and I moved to Durham in 2017, it wasn’t part of some grand creative plan. In fact, at that point, I didn’t even have an official photography business. We had just wrapped up a year in Philadelphia — an experience we both found less than inspiring — and decided to return to North Carolina, where my husband’s family was based. Little did I know that this move would mark the beginning of a transformative chapter in my creative journey.

Anyway, I met her through the planner Instagram community (did you know that existed? Now you do!) as she runs the best planner sticker shop ever — Nightingale Paper Co. I absolutely love her work and was super excited to be able to do her photos, too!
