Mackenzie & Tehila

What do you get when you combine a gorgeous bride and another gorgeous bride? The Mackenzie–Tehila wedding, that’s what! The wedding itself will happen in June of this year, but for now I’m super excited to share their engagement photos we took last week at Merritt's Pasture in Chapel Hill!

I met Mackenzie and Tehila in grad school a while back. Mackenzie and I had a bunch of classes together in my first year at UNC, which was of course during the pandemic, so quite a unique bonding experience! She and Tehila are both just the sweetest people and I love spending time with them, so of course I was OVER the MOON when they asked me to be their wedding photographer!

These two showed up looking positively stunning, and they were just radiating excitement. Mackenzie wore a fabulous red sweater, which really complemented her gorgeous dark hair, while Tehila looked utterly cool in her jean jacket, which matched perfectly with her soon-to-be-bride’s ensemble.

Mackenzie says of how she and Tehila met, "We met working together in a research lab at UT Austin. We worked together on several projects across the course of three years. Spending all those hours in the MRI facility together we grew close and eventually realized we made the perfect team in and out of science." How sweet is that?

I'm so glad we were able to catch the glowy setting sun!! These ladies look like they just walked out of a J. Crew catalog shoot, don't they??

And of course, what engagement session is complete without a picturesque picnic? Even if the only thing on the menu at said picnic is wine. Fine by me!
