Bright lights, towering buildings, and the buzz of city life – that’s what we thought we had in store for us throughout Bri and Ian’s winter engagement session this weekend! When our first date turned out to be a dreary, rainy mess, we originally planned on moving indoors in downtown Raleigh. We finally figured out another day that would work for an outdoor shoot, and I'm so glad we did — these turned out SO WELL!!

The North Carolina Museum of Art delivered an amazing backdrop! Bri has been coming to the museum regularly since she was growing up in Raleigh. I love it when we can shoot at a location that means something to my couples!

I think the last image above is my absolute favorite from the day. Just look at that chemistry! These two are going to be so much fun to photograph on their wedding day in October! I can’t wait!

Bri and Ian brought along their adorable dog, Yami, too! He was super excited about life that day so we didn't get him in as many photos as we had planned, but I'm so glad we got to involve him at least a bit!
